Internet Censorship

Welcome to the website of the Internet Censorship Project, a program of the Open Society Institute's Internet Program.

Over the following months, a free-lance journalist is traveling the world to report on the methods of Internet censorship used in the various countries and the ways possible to gain access to sites that are censored by governments and other groups. These dispatches are to be read as a first attempt to deal with the issue of Internet censorship. We depend on our readers in fill in the gaps and to report about their own experiences with Internet censorship.

Thus we will, in the near future, have a moderated chat line on the issues of Internet Censorship and the ways to get around it. Until that time, we encourage you to send your comments via e-mail to censorship@sorosny.org.
